Wonderful innovative green building products, systems and materials already exist and continue to improve.  Manufacturers of these items often have great marketing materials, BUT autonomous marketing just doesn’t make sense when it comes to whole house green building.  Greenovation provides an integrated marketing approach that mirrors the concepts of whole house building through:

 

Direct Consultation

Our LEED-AP trained and supervised consultants go directly to the homeowner and provide an in-home contextual education, by walking through with the homeowner, identifying greening opportunities and presenting a report that the homeowner can use for project prioritization.  Our direct education and needs assessment focus on:

  • Energy and atmosphere
  • Indoor Environmental quality
  • Sustainable materials
  • Water conservation

Once clear goals are established Greenovation consultants then make referrals and spec materials based on the individual needs of the homeowner.

 

Retail outlets

Part showroom and part design center our retail outlets showcase sustainable building and living materials that clients can come and discuss their projects or buy specific products of their home.  Display items include a wide variety of sustainable items, including:

  • Dual flush toilets
  • LED lighting
  • Electric bike
  • Insulation alternatives
  • Solar powered lawnmowers, lights, house numbers and chargers

 

Educational workshops

  • Public – Our strategic Alliance with CommUnityEarth (a sustainability education non-profit) provides us with a platform to educate the general public through community workshops and their web-site.
  • Trades – We seek out and work with key market stakeholders and provide Green Building 101 workshops.  For example, Weichert Realtors or Society of Hispanic Engineers
  • Schools – We offer schools a peer to peer and cross-age teaching curriculum that empowers students to assess carbon footprint, energy and water consumption, pollution and recycling with recommendations that they can make to their school and/or institute themselves.  A secondary component is that each student completes a home audit with their parents to teach them as well.

 

 

 

Eco-exhibits

Community and Regional Green Expo’s are becoming more and more popular.  A travelling version of our retail outlets, Greenovation’s Sustainable Living Showcase booth goes from event to event providing a promotional platform for green building materials, means and methods. 

 

Demonstration home

When we build it, they will come . . . Greenovation Homes' strategic approach is simply to teach people through a real, live, tangible project.  Our Route 206, Chester NJ Demonstration home is designed to be a LEED Platinum, Net Zero Energy, Zero Fossil Fuel showpiece home that actively promotes all of our vendor partners through:

On-line 3-D home tour

Our web-site offers 24/7 access to an interactive tour of our demo home.  The multi-tiered tour will allow visitors to:

  • Review design elements
  • Access product descriptions
  • Link to vendor partner web-sites
  • Place product orders

 

USGBC On-line Tool Box for Builders

The builder’s subcommittee of USGBC-NJ, has decided to make our design their on-line “poster child”.   This interactive web-site allows NJ builders to tour our home on-line to learn about green building options and alternatives. 

 

Public Relations

Our demo project is a timely and newsworthy event.  We have not broken ground yet (but will in August ’08) and have already attained front page coverage in the Daily Record and appeared on WNJN.  Our PR efforts include local, regional and national :

  • Newspaper
  • Contests submittals
  • Trade publications
  • TV
